Adams Street Names New Global Head Of Wealth

Adams Street Partners has appointed Jim Walker as the global head of wealth.      

Walker, who has served as the chief operating officer at Adams Street for nearly seven years, will lead Adams Street’s growth in the wealth management space, with an emphasis on developing and scaling products and services designed to service financial advisors and their clients.

Before joining Adams Street, Walker held a range of senior positions at Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, and Merrill Lynch, the firm said in a statement. Walker’s COO responsibilities will be split between his new role and chief financial officer Michael Kurlander.  

“His extensive experience in wealth management will accelerate our growth in private wealth," Jeffrey Diehl, managing partner and head of investments at Adams Street, said. “There is significant demand from advisors and their clients for quality private markets investments. Adams Street can provide access, institutional quality origination, and portfolio construction in ways that are accessible to private wealth clients.” 

The firm has also just launched a new website dedicated to sharing insights, news, and resources for financial advisors and wealth platforms.
